Lowell School seeks a strategic and visionary leader to serve as its next Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). The position reports to the Head of School, collaborates with leadership, staff, students, and families, and serves as a strategic thought partner and implementation leader.
This role presents a unique opportunity to design and advance Lowell's DEIB initiatives across the school, ensuring that every aspect of the school's culture, curriculum, and community is infused with the values of equity and belonging. The Director will be a systemsbuilder and community convener who ensures that Lowell's DEIB commitments are visible, sustainable, and fully lived across the school. They will create and execute initiatives that foster connectedness for every individual in the community and deepen inclusion and equity in the programming and systems of the school.
The Director of DEIB will amplify the school's longstanding dedication to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging by playing a critical role in integrating these values into the school's fabric. This work will involve building staff capacity, fostering partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting student and adult affinity groups. The role establishes the Director as the leader of the school's strategic and programmatic initiatives, and positions the individual to strengthen the school's commitment to inclusion.
